On Tuesday, April 12th, The Assistance League of Tustin’s Winifred Campbell Auxiliary and Chapter representatives hosted 45 community members at the second Thrift Shop Community Market. Tustin residents from the Tustin Senior Center and different Tustin area schools were able to select from the merchandise in the Assistance League Thrift Store – clothes and household items for most and toys and books for all the children. Breakfast with Santa

Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year 2016!

We were able to feed some very need people from Tustin with a pancake and bacon breakfast with fruit. Robert Van Hyning took photos with Santa. Our own Assisteens helped our visitors to make crafts. Everybody left with some tasty christmas cookies and a smile on their face.

A special thank you to Mr. Leupold, John Moore, and Greg Del Crognale for cooking up a scrumptious breakfast. Also, thank you to Girl Scout Troop #1863 for participating in this special event.

We couldn’t have made this all happen without the help of Tyron Jackson and his helpers from OPERATION WARM WISHES.

Safer 3 Water Safety

ASSISTEENS® OF TUSTIN are proud to be part of this program. This past weekend, our teens helped set up and assist the organizers of Safer 3 Water Safety Foundation Ocean Swim Event.

What is Safer 3?
The Safer 3 Water Safety Foundation is dedicated to saving lives. They believe that an ongoing, year-round education will significantly reduce the number of drownings around the world. Drowning IS preventable…Follow the Safer 3

Their Vision: A world without drowning.
Their Mission: Save lives through water safety education
Their Goals:
• Raise awarness of drowning risks.
• Educate the public about the three elements common to every drowning: Water, People, Response.
• Develop and provide resources to reduce the risk.
• Create a global network of partners and Safer 3 messengers.

Thank you Johnny Johnson for organizing this fundraiser. We are proud to be part of such an amazing event.

Perfect Pair – Assisteens and Chapter

Our Assisteens® of Tustin were invited by National Assistance League to come to San Diego for the annual conference and present their Buddy Program philanthropies.

The title of the session was: Perfect Pair – How Assisteens Can Communicate and Compliment Your Chapter’s Mission.

Allison Picker, the 2015-2016 Assisteen Chair, presented an overall view of all the ALT Buddy Programs and Ben Culver presented the Soccer Buddies program.
They both did an excellent job of representing the Assisteens of Tustin.
