Assisteens® Membership
For 50 years, Tustin Assisteens® have served their community by allowing young men and women to work with disabled and disadvantaged families and children in their own neighborhood. Assisteens® support the philanthropies of the Assistance League and develop their sense of Leadership, Philanthropy and Self-Development through community service and League activities, serving the following Tustin based philanthropic programs:
Buddy Programs
- VIP Soccer Buddy Program focuses on working with disabled children through a comprehensive Soccer program.
- Aqua Achievers Swim Buddy Program focuses on working with disabled children through a comprehensive swimming program.

Our Assisteens® membership includes 8th-12th grade boys and girls who attend a variety of area schools.

All Assisteens® are expected to fulfill 36 hours of service:
- 15 minimum hours of Assistance League Philanthropy
- 13 minimum hours of Thrift Shop shifts = 4 shifts (each shift = 3.25 hours)
- The remaining 8 hours are of their choosing (Assistance League philanthropy, thrift shop, meetings or social events).
