Our Impact

Since 1965, the Assistance League of Tustin puts caring and commitment into action through
community based philanthropic programs.
ALT’s philanthropies that most impact TUSD students include Operations School Bell 1 and 2.
Over 1,000 students were provided uniforms and clothing for the 2025-2026 school year with a
budget of $119,450. The Outdoor Ed Program provides sleeping bags and jackets for the 5th
grade campers so they may fully participate in the program. This year an additional $4,500 was
used to purchase additional new coats. ALT provides funds ($4,500) to Think Together to
provide expanded learning to support student success.
ALT’s Community Partnership Grant Program provided $39,000 in support of 13 of TUSD’s
Community Schools Programs. Schools used the funds to continue to improve attendance, build
engagement with families, to help cover transportation costs of Outdoor Ed, and fill in other
funding gaps.
ALT’s Thrift Shop holds special shopping days for families and students, recommended by the
community liaisons, who are in need to clothing and household goods. This year, in support of
TUSD’s Career Pathways Program, the Thrift Shop opened for the summer interns to shop for
appropriate clothing at no cost. Two of those interns will be working with ALT this summer. ALT
continues to provide funds for food for families with food uncertainty and to supported
programs who provide shelter and counseling for students and families.
In addition to adult volunteers, the ALT Assisteens, consisting of 100+ middle and high school
students, learn volunteerism and fundraising. The Assisteens coordinate an annual food drive in support of local
food banks, and can be seen volunteering in our local schools and
throughout the community.

Last year, the Assistance League of Tustin and its Assisteens® Auxiliary celebrated over 20,000 hours of volunteerism in our community through our own philanthropic programs and working with our community partners.
